South Africa

RECORDS for South Africa are not easily found, however, we do have a few members living there who are willing to help where possible. Please use the CONTACTS page for help.

Many people immigrated to South Africa around the turn of the century and most records are found on the manifest of sailing ships.

Any person wishing to search for living Filby relations can go to: The White Pages Telephone Directory on and use the "search white pages numbers". In the section for the name: Filby, and in the city / town area enter South Africa. You will then have all the telephone numbers and residential addresses of all the Filbys in the RSA that have a land line.

The Filby Association is a not-for-profit Charitable Organisation run by volunteers (HMRC Charity No. XT10887) Member of the Federation of Family History Societies (FFHS) and The Guild of One-Name Studies (GOONS)
