Since we began in 1961 all our records have been taken from actual documents , BMD certificates, BMD ledgers at Middleton House, London, and many from ledgers stilll held in led trunks within some churches. Over the years independent researchers have shared their findings with us and donated them to the Association. However, we do rely on those to have been authenticated, but cannot confirm.

Mistakes can happen and we take no responsibility for this as information varies from place to place. Also historical records may have been wrongly transcribed by official departments, so again, check and recheck your findings if you want to delve into your family’s past.
