This web site was created to help anyone researching the family name of FILBY and its variants. See our Association History list below
We have over 17,000 individuals, 200 trees each with a unique reference number and numerous Wills dating from 1500. We help all descendants with Filby, Filbey, Filbee, Philby, Philbey and other spellings of our surname to find evidence of their ancestors and create a family tree.
Our Family trees are not freely available online. However, you will be able to SEARCH our website as there are many RECORDS and ARTICLES that are filled with information that may help you.
If you are researching your Filby ancestors we may be able to help build on your family tree with data from our files and in turn you could share additional information with us.
MEMBERSHIP We do not charge subscriptions for membership although we are very grateful to receive any donations to help with our running costs and the support of All Saints Church at the village of Filby. In return you will receive via email, the Chronicle, which is an annual publication and keeps our worldwide membership fully informed.
We welcome receipt of any family tree information that you are willing to share with us and will offer data from our files in return. Our family trees are copyright and as such are not published in full on this website. We politely request that any shared are not uploaded onto other genealogy websites.
RESEARCH Our researchers give their services on a voluntary basis. You will find easy access to some of our research results and archive material on this website for which we do not charge, but a small donation would be most appreciated as this will enable us to further our research. We take privacy very seriously and do not share anything without permission being granted unless it is in the Public Domain.
